Teeuwissen Group acquires majority share in new NWT and CT 2010-02-26 14:24:10
Cuijk, 25 February 2010
Dear customer,
We are pleased to be able to inform you of the following:
The Teeuwissen Group has a majority interest in the new German companies
NWT GmbH and CT GmbH, which will become operational as from 1 March and will take over the activities of the former NWT Twist GmbH and Cooltrans GmbH.
NWT GmbH specialises in processing and packaging meat by-products and has a modern, certified production facility (NI-EZ 528) and a cold storage warehouse (NI-EK 528) in the German municipality of Twist.
With its fleet of temperature controlled trucks CT GmbH provides logistic services for the food industry.
Both companies, and the collective workforce of 170, are led Managing Director Marcel Droste and will continue to operate as independent entities.
Besides the Teeuwissen Group, which specializes in meats, meat by-products and intestines and has subsidiaries, joint ventures and partnerships on practically every continent, the owner of the premises in which NWT is located has also acquired a share in the new companies.
We are convinced that the combined forces of this new partnership will create a synergy, enabling us to significantly expand our service to suppliers and customers. Furthermore, the presence in Germany offers logistic advantages and additional possibilities with regard to supply, processing and storage in the event of animal disease and trade barriers.
We wish Marcel Droste and his staff every success.
